Stoned & Co - About Us

SCROLL DOWN

STONED, is a moment of being languorous – laid back and peaceful so that you are able to see a different perspective in life. Those who experience this moment will refrain from being judgmental and critical as it will hurt and destroy the true meaning of that subject.”
PHILOSOPHY

Stoned & Co. is a brand that communicates to the world of its thoughts on how equity is the root to peace.

Moving dots create lines. As the world is ever changing and evolving, so does our thoughts and perceptions. To represent this phenomena, we include lines in our designs to signify the flow and rhythm of the progression of the dots, which consist of individuals in a society at a fast pace creating the illusion of a line.Stoned & Co. attempts to eliminate the negative thoughts and perceptions and bring in positive values such as unity, equity and peace. The world we want to create and present to all is one that is non-judgmental and harmonious.

There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to the representation of our brand. However, this is exactly the kind of response we are hoping for! We want everyone to understand that behind every facade, there is the true meaning of that certain something that must not always be negative.

STONED, our differences to ensure a harmonious living in our beloved country. Gaining new experiences with an open heart and encouraging each other along the way is the road to a better community that we can all grow and learn from.”

Stoned & Co. is a Malaysian independant local brand – founded by three aspirational graphic designers who wanted to create a brand that portrays bold messages with minimal designs. With a dream to create a space for them to communicate and translate their thoughts to the world, Stoned & Co. was form.

In terms of design, we always aim to create a loud yet minimal style. The brand absorbs its distinctive designs through inspirations of different art, culture, and habits of the multicultural and multilingual aspects of Malaysia. As contradictory as it may sound, this is the kind of challenge we are always up for!

Stoned & Co aims to take Malaysia’s streetwear clothing to an international level because what we have locally is already in the best of quality.

ELEMENTS
SCROLL
THE MAPLE LEAF

The Japanese Maple Leaf is chosen as a symbolic element for Stoned & Co because of how it represents the core precepts of what Stoned & Co wants to bring to the nation. Inspired by the Japanese Maple Leaf which symbolizes connection and unity, Stoned & Co brings forward a concept that promotes the same values as the Japanese Maple Leaf. Some of the unique characteristics of the Japanese Maple Leaf is that the margins are either coarsely or finely toothed giving this elegant foliage some ruggedness. The deeply separated long-ovate lobes tapered into a sharp tip reminds Stoned & Co to always be on the top of their game to be different among the rest.

UNITY LINES

The Japanese Maple Leaf is chosen as a symbolic combination of 3 = one solid creation. The lines are mnemonic elements that represent the breakthrough of a barrier – Race, Language & Religion. Also, it symbolizes the three main races in Malaysia moving together along a balanced and equal space. Stoned & Co aims to create one nation, one country, one universe or in other words, a one world peace.

The unity line on the other hand, is a combination of the three lines which forms one sturdy and bold stroke. This effortless representation is another important element that plays a big role is most of our designs. Therefore, Stoned & Co instils a different perspective to the sights of the people in where there are three entities: me, you, and the relationship that we co-create = us. Because with us, there is unity.

STONED, signifies the process of observing, understanding and creating in your own world. When in this state of mind, you are the witness of your thoughts. The very alchemy of it lies as you become more and more deeply rooted in witnessing, thoughts start dissappearing – That’s the moment of enlightenment. The moment you become for the first time an unconditioned, sane, really free human being.”
